Sliding Door Roller Replacement

When your door drags, grinds, or won't glide — it's almost always the rollers.

  3. Roller Replacement

Rollers are the number-one reason a sliding glass door stops working. Sand, salt air, and years of weight grind the little steel wheels flat, rust the bearings, and eventually your door feels like it's stuck in cement. We remove the panel, swap the worn rollers for heavy-duty stainless tandem rollers, clean and lubricate the track, and re-set the door height so it rolls with one finger again.

Signs you need roller replacement

  • The door drags, sticks, or takes two hands to open
  • A grinding, scraping, or squealing sound when it moves
  • The door has dropped and rubs the track or sill
  • Flat spots or rust visible on the wheels
  • The panel feels loose or lifts out of the track

What we do

Roller Replacement FAQ

Common Questions

How much does sliding door roller replacement cost?
Most single-door roller jobs are a flat, upfront price with no surprises. We quote you before any work starts, and there's never a charge to have us take a look and diagnose the problem.
Can't I just spray lubricant on the track?
Lubricant is a short-term band-aid. If the wheels are worn flat or the bearings have seized, no amount of spray will fix it — the rollers have to be replaced. We use commercial-grade rollers built for Florida's salt and sand.
How long does it take?
A typical roller replacement takes about an hour per door. We carry the most common rollers on the truck, so most jobs are done in a single visit.
